If you have ever felt one and it was warm, that is wasted energy turned to heat. The power consumption is not large -- on the order of 1 to 5 watts per transformer.

If you think your microwave's power is starting to wane, give it a test. Cook one cup of water on high power for two minutes. If it's not piping hot, it may be time to consider a new microwave.

It is good to have an anti-virus software installed in your system although Android OS is not that vulnerable. It is a precautionary action.
