Title: Could agents that boost immunity cause autoimmune disease?

Allergic reaction is basically an overreaction of the immune system. Sometimes it can even kill. I wonder if these "immune boosters", if they work at all, could increase your chance of allergic reaction or the intensity of an allergic reaction. Also can it increase the chance of auto-immune disorders?

Depends on the working mechanism of the immune booster.
