What will happen to water seeping through the soil? I know there are rivers and tunnels underground, but is there any chance water going deeper than that? What will happen to it?

Hi guys!

They said that speed of light cannot be exceeded by any means...

They said that speed is a measurement of relative rate of motion between two object, yes?

Consider this;

Two sources of photon (flashlights A and B) are directed toward each other and turned on...

Our theory said that both photons coming out of the flashlights are speeding at the speed of light relative to their sources, yes?

Question: What is the relative speed of a photon coming out of flash light A to a photon coming out of flashlight B?

Isn't it TWICE the speed of light?

Hi there,

I saw a question about plasma globes earlier.


My questions are;

1. What kind of radiation produced by these things? I've noticed that a small florescent bulb could lit up.

2. Why a grounded neon-bulb electrical-tester-pen would also lit up near plasma globes? Is it the same mechanism as the florescent bulb?

3. I've heard that theoretically, a plasma globe could produce X-rays when then the electrons smash to the glass wall. Is it true?

4. How does the glass wall conduct the electricity to the ground? Is it because of the semi-conductivity?

5. Why would the electron streams seem to be dancing? Is it because of the movement of the low density gases inside the globe or it is becoz of the electrons' quantum mechanic property?

Hi there,

Just to share here...

It seems to me that we human being have the tendency to kill our self and our own species.

It is absolutely outrageous to know that our food has been altered too much. From the most simplest form of table salts, to the complex plants, we have the tendency to modify them.

Do you think you could protect yourself by being a veggie? Think again!

To start with, our air isn't good to breathe. Everybody knows...

Our water isn't fit to drink. Today, it contains at least two chemicals, namely Chloride and Fluoride. That doesn't include all other chemicals caused by pollutions.

Sugar. All of us take sugar everyday. But do you know, sugar now has been added with Titanium Oxide? It is to make it so that sugar shines more. Isn't this a madness?

Table salt is one the most common food additive. But do you know Dextrose is added to help to stabilize Iodine? Plus it contains anti caking agents which which stop salts from clumping together, which are commonly made from ferrocyanides? CYANIDES!!!

So, you see, we've been "attacked" from all direction with all the chemicals that normally wouldn't be in our system.

At the end, we complained, "Why more and more people are getting Alzheimer? Why more are getting cancer?"

They say, it is safe, but who really knows???

As far as I know, microwave ovens create heat by the movement of water molecules when subjected to microwaves.

Does this means that other bipolar liquid can also be heated in the same way?

Hi everyone!

This one really bothers me.

Virus are the most simplest living thing in the world. (Yes, we are not into debating virus as living object or not). One might thought we started with virus. The problem is, viruses need other living cells to cling to.

Bacteria is much more complex then a virus, so it would be hard for me to think bacteria as the first living creature in the soup of life.

I think evolution still have a very tough time to answer the question "how it really started?".

Run a current through water and its molecules will split up at the electrodes forming Hydrogen and Oxygen (H20 => H2 + O2 requiring 854KJ/Mol). The process is not 100% efficient, as it involves the movement of molecules and ions to and from the electrodes, causing them to bump into one another on their way and hence increasing overall enthalpy. In fact, a high enough current will heat a small water bath to the point of boiling during a very brief period of electrolysis.
 
However, this only happens because water in its natural form contains mineral salts which make it conductive. In its purest form (only obtainable through extensive de-gassing, purification and de-ionization), water is in fact a phenomenal dielectric, with a dielectric constant (K) of 80[2]2] and a voltage standoff in the order of several thousand volts per millimeter (this varies enormously with purity and somewhat with temperature). Because it behaves as a near-infinite resistance load for any source of EMF, ultrapure water, as is called the liquid having less than 10^12ohms/m resistance is used in some pulse forming network capacitors and for insulating some special high voltage high frequency lines and the like.

Water being atomised.However, once the maximum voltage standoff for water is exceeded and the dielectric effect breaks down, something strange happens: The discharge stops being electrolytic (as molecules can no longer move to the electrodes at the rate dictated by the current) and the resistance plummets all at once, allowing massive currents to pass through it. When that occurs a bright flash of light is observed and some of the water in the sample is atomized (atomization here is used to describe a change from the liquid to the gaseous state that does not involve heating, such as in ultrasonic water atomisers) following a very loud report and a powerful shock wave traveling through the liquid.

What makes this effect all the more strange is the fact that if one takes into account the heat capacity of the water in the sample, and compares it with the energy delivered, it becomes clear that the liquid temperature could not have risen by more than a few degrees centigrade, let alone the several thousand degrees required to obtain the pressures necessary for the kind of explosion observed. Over the years, several scientists and researchers have attempted to explain the phenomena, using everything from cold fusion to electrolysis and subsequent water reformation. Most of these theories are obviously flawed and were quickly refuted by mathematical proofs, whilst others are still being contemplated as potential (partial?) explanations for what is happening, and may need experimental evidence to be disproved.

So, the output produced was more then the energy was put it, unless they got the calculation wrong.

Hi there,

If the big bang was originated from a singularity point, then how does the universe got created the way it is today?

Why doesn't the particles just blast away into a very dilute universe?

I think, the singularity point in the big bang wasn't that regular. What does explain the irregularity of the singularity itself at that point of time.
