Although weakly interacting I guess they are hoping for some collisions between a dark matter particle and ordinary matter (Xenon). This effort makes neutrino detection look easy! Maybe we are looking for a particle that only interacts with ordinary matter (and itself) via gravity. The article also mentions small black holes as a candidate. It will be a pretty bright day when they figure this one out.

Plant Sciences, Zoology & Evolution / Could meat genes be added to plants to make meat fit for vegetarians?

Have people tried putting genes for actin/myosin in plants? The idea would be to make them more like animal source protein. Throw another green burger on the barbie. Sorry if this is an old topic, I tried to search but wasn't sure what terms to use, "meat plants" didn't come up.

I was speculating wildly in another thread and mentioned atomic level printing, apparently it is starting to happen already.  An incredible achievement and the technology is still in its infancy.

ok, my very limited understanding of general relativity suggests gravity is described by curved space time so that all objects "fall" the same regardless of mass, including light with no mass. Since anti-matter does not have negative mass, why would this make sense?

I'm certainly not saying don't make the measurement but this seems to be a bit off the deep end.
