Apple cider vinegar for cholesterol and arteries?

Is it true that apple cider vinegar is good for cleaning ateries of plaque? What about hydrogenated vegetable oil? Know any good recipes?

I used to live in England for several years and when we needed to do an internal cleanse, apple cider vinegar or just apple cider where always on the top of the list. However, I am not so sure that it will work for your arteries and/or cholesterol.

There are several natural food nutrients on the market (the scientific research is called Glycobiology - read up on this at newbielink:http://glyco.dexlen.us [nonactive] - info only) that will help your body get rid of toxins, as well as neutralize fat deposits, cholesterol and clogged arteries. One of my newsletter readers actually avoided a triple by-pass because of these products.

If you are looking for an overnight 'cure' there is none (at least not to my >20 year research). When you revert to holistic, alternative or natural supplements, they will take their time to work their way through your body. Eventually, and it can be several months, these product will produce a result.

My grandfather has taken large doses of garlic pills, and apple cider vinegar with tremendous results. I don't know how high of a dose he takes with garlic, but he drinks some tea with apple cider vinegar and takes his garlic every night. At age 74 the doctor thought he was on strong medication, and when my grandfather told him what he took he was in shock.

I am surprised this question has had so many little replies...I would be very interested in trying out the apple cider vinegar (with regard to lowering cholesterol) if a dosage could be recommended...could it also help in losing weight and getting the fat off my liver ?

Why do you have a fatty liver? I read some stuff about apple cider vinegar and helping with cholesterol and weight loss. I tried it for weight loss without success, but then, I do come from the land of the obese.

Apparantley I'm clinically obese arond the tummy ( I just think I'm cuddly)...but, I've had a few scans and blood tests and it's been determined that my liver is either storing too much fat ?..or has fatty deposits on it....I have to lose the weight as indications are it's inflamed.....*sigh*

Neil - the best way to lower cholesterol is to lose weight. As weight drops, so does your cholesterol level.

...well..the assumption is that because my tummy is where my fat resides(and that is also in the vicinity of the liver,) that if I was to lose the weight, the fatty mass will also go too.....I would certainly welcome opinions though...........and waves of willpower...

I've heard that garlic can also help reducing colesterol and loose weight!
I'm only worryed about the breath after eating garlic.
Do you know any solition for this problem.

and find it an excellent tonic.
A proven antiseptic it will see off any stomach bug.
Colitis too I shouldn't wonder.
Taken with a meal ( in water ) it aids digestion as well as any wine.
I had varicose veins appearing about 15 years ago.
These have disappeared since taking Blackstrap Mollases
( 1 Tsp ) every morning mixed with hot water and Apple Juice
( Copella or similar good quality ).
Arterial Plaque ? Never heard of Cider Vinegar as a cure. But discovered recently that Cayenne Pepper apparently is.
Do a search for 'Cayenne' on Google.

Your right Neil, You are just cuddly, The sweetest little teddy bear! I think you might loose those fatty deposits with the weight and the lowered cholesterol. Cholesterol leaves deposits all through your body as I understand it. I would think they will disapate as the cholesterol goes down. I am no Doctor, but it seems plausible to me that would make the most since anyway. Seems I am late on this reply also!

I take 2,000mg a day of garlic capsules and my wife says I STINK. Mind you, she said I ~~stink~~ ~~stank~~ ~~stunk~~ smelt dreadful even before I started taking them!
