Have you seen Uri Geller bends spoons? Is there an answer in physics as to why he can do this, or is it just a con?

I think the spoons are made of very soft metal, eg Lead. They are easily bent.

There was a rather sneaky film made of Mr Geller "bending spoons" He was filmed in a cafe by a secret camera. He thought he was just showing off to a couple of people who were in having lunch.
If you take hold of a spoon, bowl in one hand and handle in the other, you can bend it. His trick seemed to be to distract the people so they didn't notice him do this. He didn't distract the camera.

At least one stage "magician" has pointed out that, if Mr Geller is bending spoons using the power of his mind, then he is doing it the hard way.
