Just Chat! / Re: Why aren't guns banned in the USA?
« on: 28/09/2004 22:55:55 »
hahaha gotta love the second amendment!  I guess it might be a better place but there still would be issues if we banned them.  But all the southern folk wouldnt take to kindly to it, probably brandishing there baby as they walk on washington.

It confuses me how fully automatics can be considered as hunting weapons.

And also how awkward it is that you can literally buy rocket launchers, M4's, gattling guns, and pen guns on this site  www.gunsamerica.com  But of course strictly for memorbelia only[;)]

New Theories / Re: POLL: Did we land on the moon?
« on: 28/09/2004 22:46:13 »
I remember seeing a program on fox a couple years ago on this topic, totally farout, but not so as to where its unbelievable.  But the flag waveing in the non existant wind, the starless background in the picture along with the spaceship covering up half the crossshair.

I DO believe it only because i see no TRUE reason to cover it up.

General Science / Re: How Dense Can Water Get? Can water under pressure become a solid?
« on: 27/09/2004 02:23:17 »
I know this really isnt an answer, but I remember watching cartoons and such where they dived so deep in the sea that eventually they crashed through a ceiling of water and ended up in a cave.  They would get out of there sub, look around to see water flowing upward into the semi solid wall of h2o above.

I wonder if its possible....[?]

this sounds like something I would have done last year in my hell raiseing phase!  but I've never heard of it before, by merely putting wire over a power line would short it out?  that doesent sound right.

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: will a bullet go into Orbiting of the moon
« on: 23/09/2004 21:21:32 »
All you would need is a Gattling gun, 6000 rounds a minute![:D]   So the orbiting bullet if fired at the right FPS and altitude would never be pulled into the moons orbit?  I mean if it was sligtly over the escape velocity wouldnt it travel off toward uranus?

YES it is being hijacked, but only when I go to my email.  Right after i try to sign on it automatically redirects me to some search site.

I've searched my program files and remove program list but nothing seems out of place.

Any suggestions?

WOW I've never heard of that kind of technology before, the grey goo does sound familar.  How small would the original one be?

That reminds me of some money ploy i always wanted to try, i think it goes like this.  I do your dishes for .o1 cent the first day, .o2 cent the 2nd, .o4 the 3rd .08 etc...after about 2 months theyd be paying me in the millions.

I always have this nightmare of a cure for cancer, that they give to everyone on earth to prevent and kill it.  But something goes wrong and it turns out to be some super virus destroying all of mankind.

So like last year or something a meteor came between the moon and the earth?  Dude that really sucks I cant remember if they told us or hope we wouldnt notice...

Just Chat! / The Next 50 Years.
« on: 17/09/2004 01:27:08 »
I remember in a past article of Scientific American Sir martin Rees predicted a 50/50 chance of earths destruction in the next 100 years...

This really doesent seem to farfetched considering that when you type in Atomic Bomb into Google, one of the first results is "How to build an atomic bomb." WTF?!  I dont know about you guys but I think SOME things should be censored.

Maybe we should have tied out batheing suit a little bit tighter before diveing head first into the Nuclear Age.

Between global warming, meteor, failing atmosphere and our favorite nuclear holocaust our fate is looking somewhat grim.

SO back to my question, do YOU think the earth, civilation in itself will survive mother natures future onslaught, or be doomed to an inevitable mushroom cloud?

That CAN'T be true! / Re: Useless Facts
« on: 16/09/2004 20:11:47 »
So watching some show I learned something which plagues my mind every wakeing moment.  And the absolutely worst part is, that if you have it, theres nothing you can do about it.  So imagine a worm, the width of a pencil, but twice as long. NOW imagine it inside you!!! 1 out of every 4 people has it inside them.  Ive wondered why my tummy rumbles.

Just thought I'd let you all know that!

Its weird how EVERY generation is entirely different from the last.  I know everything i like my (future) kids will consider the stupidest things ever....I have 2 african friends, there both white and neither of them can swim or run.  SO whats up with US's basketball team this year?

Physiology & Medicine / Re: What is the gritty stuff in your eyes on waking ?
« on: 16/09/2004 20:00:26 »
Ummmm....actually however disturbing it may be your eye sheds, so that "stuff" is the remnants of your eyeball.

And I think the circular thing by your nose in the corner of your eye lid was from when you were in your mommys tummy, it use to be a clear shield to keep water out, similar like frogs have.  Vistigous? some V word.
