Question of the Week / Re: QotW - 18.08.02 - Why are non-stick pans non-stick?

One word: teflon. Teflon is an polymer, which does not like to bond with other chemicals. It looks like this:

The yellow thing is fluorine. It sticks to black balls-carbon-, so it does not stick to other atoms.

I think that "Dr Randall"'s astonishing revelation would be more convincing if supported with some evidence. An anonymous person making an unsupported statement doesn't stack up against published work that anyone can read and check.

The evidence already exists if you bother to look for it.This is explained above but your ingrained mindset blinds you to it.This excusable since you cannot help this.
No, if you mean THAT Randall, then  no. He isn't doctor, he draws comics.

Also, can you support this "blah blah" by data? By peer-reviewed article? If you can't, you don't know ANYTHING.

Health is wealth. Health is good mind is good. How can we weight loss and live healthy, beautiful, life? This is our effort for all the people of the world.
Health isn't Wealth, both are different concepts. Mr Jeff Bezos isn't the most healthiest man on this planet. Weight loss could be achieved instantaneously by colonizing Mars. How about we direct our Efforts into creating free energy for the World

I want to speak on the topic ‘health is wealth’. In the modern time, where pollution, global warming, and other environmental issues have covered us, the importance of health and fitness has increased to a great extent.
Boosting our Health is Not going to Solve pollution, global warming n other environmental issues.

We need to be more physically healthy and fit to win the current environmental challenges. It keeps us away from the diseases, infections and other lethal diseases by reducing extra kilos, improving the strength of muscle and bones, increasing immunity level, and maintaining the healthy functioning of our major body organs. It helps us to look better with lots of patience and confidence level.
An early morning walk or evening jog in Beijing won't necessarily help in keeping your lungs healthy, it would do more harm than good.
Various drugs & vaccines protect us & help us to maintain healthy functioning of our major n vital body organs.

P.S. - An Apple a day won't necessarily help in keeping your Doctor away, let's concentrate on curing the Epidemic of Old Age n then we could/might spend an Eternity to look good & beautiful.

Physiology & Medicine / Re: Mods and Spam Loss | The best plan of antispam & natural ways of spam loss

Is arsenic what are you trying to sell us? If you eat arsenic, you can die and not worry about weight loss! And it's all natural!

I have better ways to lose mass.
Exercise, do not overeat, etc. Half of diets don't work/is dangerous. Just like arsenic (but I hope less dangerous).

Here you have antispam-reply™...

Hi All. Someone named "mathew123" posts to all categories his ad to some thing of cannabis oil, that "cures cancer". I think that all these posts should be destroyed and if mathew123 would continue to post this type of thing, ban him.

P.S. thanks to all active moderators for keeping this forum clean.

Not a valid vimeo URLSource: https://datadrivendj.com/tracks/brain/
This is representation of seizure.
As Brian says it:
However, as a brief overview, these are the primary brain wave properties I am looking at in the EEG readings and how they affect the music your hear:
Amplitude: is essentially how "tall" the waves are. In the song, when brain wave amplitude increases, more singers are added and the instruments become louder.
Frequency: is how many waves are observed over a given time. When the brain wave frequency increases, the string instruments raise their pitch.
Synchrony: is the simultaneous appearance of rhythmic or distinct wave patterns over different regions of the head over a given time. When the amplitudes and frequencies are synchronous across the whole brain, percussion instruments are introduced.

And that pieces like CZ?
They are this:

General Science / The sounds of science...

Post here any science sounds.
These could be direct sound recordings, could be data sonification.

Please describe what is the sound you are posting, and please cite the source (url of source can apply).

Here is mine:

Source:https://astrosom.com/index.php

What you are hearing there is the redshift and blueshift of gases in Milky way. Each type is represented by some instrument. The pitch is controlled by redshift and blueshift and longevity of instrument controlled by amount of gas.
