Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: Why do people think Relativity predicts event horizons?
« on: 15/11/2013 03:23:38 »
Because infinities when we get to black holes arrrg relativity why do you fail us

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: Do atoms and electrons spin? If so, in which direction?
« on: 15/11/2013 03:21:40 »
not sure if atoms have a definite spin but yes electrons have quantum spin of 1/2 as does protons neutrons and neutrinos and quarks i think since its positive it goes up the angular motion on its axis because quantum spin is a vector. i think that quantum "spin" is just an analogy so not sure if it actually spins

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: Is dark-matter any relation of anti-matter?

I there was an abundance of antimatter in the universe there would be a great deal of gamma radiation at 511 kev due to its annihilation with matter of course this is not seen.
Antimatter reacts with electromagnetic radiation in the same way as normal matter hence it would not be dark !.
If there was an abundance of antimatter we would be dead.

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: How do stationary neutrinos behave?
« on: 15/11/2013 03:09:39 »
It will be almost impossible to observe a neutrino at rest because of the uncertainty particle. particle accelerators accelerate particles at such a speed partly because it would be easier for the detectors to detect.

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: What is the evidence that the Universe is expanding?
« on: 15/11/2013 03:06:19 »
The red shift from other galaxies show that other galaxies are moving away from us so the universe is expanding.

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: Does matter naturally want to fit into the smallest space possible?
« on: 15/11/2013 03:03:47 »
Matter forms into solids when kinetic energy is no longer is strong enough to keep the matter from bonding with each other.

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: Can an electromagnetic field make photons?
« on: 15/11/2013 03:01:31 »
Im guessing you need einstein's photoelectric effect

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: In black holes, are the event horizon and the singularity one and the same?
« on: 15/11/2013 02:59:30 »
The event horizon and the singularity are two different things. The event horizon is when light can no longer escape the black hole's gravity and the singularity is theoretically an point in the center of infinite destiny and is infinitely small. it is still theoretical though.

Physics, Astronomy & Cosmology / Re: What stops the Moon falling to Earth?
« on: 15/11/2013 02:57:17 »
The moon is moving fast so the edge of the earth is falling away faster than the moon can fall. If you throw a baseball really hard and it moves really fast it will go over the curve of the earth before it hits the earth and it will keep on going in orbit.
