My son just asked me this question......he probably asked me because he knows that as a sheepy I am of course an expert long jumper and triple jumper plus, with a woolly coat I know all about jumpers !

...thing is...I really don't know the answer about the thought process that informs us if we are to successfully jump over something or across something !


Do ewe know how we determine if we are able to complete a jump ? ..and presumably the determination process changes with age and ability yes ?

I was also wondering if there was some inbuilt (instinct perhaps) that is tuned somehow to our own capabilities and is able to gauge our ability against the task in hand.
