A wild thought
« on: 04/03/2012 15:32:21 »
I was studying quantum mechanics the other day, and I read that there is a lack of determinism at quantum level. You can't determine the position of an electron and similar facts. Then, I had an enlightenment and that is...

If we assume that time is the movement of subatomic particles, particles like electron and quarks, then, we can state that time doesn't exist since there is a lack of determinism at quantum levels, meaning that you can not detect the motion of these particles. These particles (if moving) may be just be one universal manifestation that we perceive and at some other time, if at a different position, these atoms would be another universal manifestation.

Therefore, there would be no time, if there is no determinism at quantum level, and vice versa.
