I do no if I can understand what you would like to ask, but I think consciousness and time are interrelated directly. The consciouness change with age and it is not intentional, it just change.

Many philosophers and sages, dominantly Eastern but quite a few western, expound the theory they are all one and the same, just different aspects of One.The translation I have of the Siva Sutras begins, first verse, "Everything is Consciousness." An online translation says "Consciousness is the being.."
