Well, if that was true, why would they measure it?
It's not a great indicator of blood glucose but it's non invasive.

They measure it for different reasons, to diagnose renal disease for example.
I am looking for non or minimally invasive ways to measure glucose that resembles the blood glucose.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how realistic it is to try to measure the glucose in blood without having a sensor in the blood.

Well there are numerous charlatans who have designed luxurious devices in photos and claim they do that. However I have not seen anything yet in my GP's office.

There is no truly noninvasive device considered suitable for clinical use at present.

There are various subcutaneous and percutaneous implants designed for continuous monitoring but they all have a limited functional life and require calibrating against a fingerprick, generally once per day or more often.

The problem is that even if we had a reliable noninvasive monitor, we don't have a reliable oral insulin, so you end up making at least one hole in the skin anyway.
