Hi

We kmow that people have used a mixture of potassium permanganate + glycerin to ignite thermite. Does these other mixtures also can ignite thermite?

Ammonium nitrate + zinc and drops of hydrochloric acid

Sodium chloride + sugar and drops of sulfuric acid

Ammonium nitrate + sodium chloride + zinc powder and drops of water

I'm not sure why you are adding in sodium chloride. It's a very stable compound that doesn't readily act as either an oxidizing agent or reducing agent in most reactions.

I think that's probably sodium chlorate or perchlorate...
