I'm very doubtful of this, but at least it would be easy to test. Get someone who claims they can understand the foreign lyrics without actually knowing the language to listen to a new foreign song they have never heard before. Then ask them to translate it.
They can't translate , they just understand it deeply and then enjoy it.

in my opinion the song is understood deeply , if you ask someone they can't tell what the meaning of the song was , it is understood deeply and being processed deeply. What I want to tell is not that music does give us extra magic abilities to translate , but explaining the reason for the same phenomenon of appreciation for foreign music.

understood in deeper units of our processor mind.
I was once in the interesting position of being on-stage for an opera. I didn't understand the words. On a related note
It's also clearly possible for music to evoke images- even without words.Nobody would get these two muddled.//www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyFpZ5MZ7kkand //www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEd7Ovt4cWE
