What if there are infinite timelines?
« on: 30/05/2018 23:35:09 »
This is a theory I've been thinking of for awhile.I have a horribly drawn sketch that I will post to hopefully help with this theory. What if there are infinite timelines that all cross through what I call the Present Time Line which is the time that everyone exists at this point but not on this line. Now say that an infinite number of timelines go through this point but only the people that live in our universe exist on TimeLine 1. We have our own history and future already planned but every timeline has their own different history and future and anything is possible in any timeline. Now if we die on TimeLine 1 we are reborn into a different timeline on the present line but their timeline has different advancements and live differently from us. This cycle has always continued and always will. This is the start to my theory and it's short and sweet and I hope I explained it to make sense because I'm trying to explain how I think but it's just so complex. Any thoughts on this or ideas? I'll try and think of different ideas and a better understanding of my theory and post it but just wanted to get some thoughts out there :).

This sounds somewhat similar to the "quantum suicide" thought experiment: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_suicide_and_immortality, although what you have sounds more like reincarnation than anything else. Unless there is a way to test your idea, it sounds like philosophy to me.

Great artist picture, I love it,  just like the ones I do most of the time.  This thread looked lonely so I thought I would comment.

Your diagram and idea is close but not quite there, here is the correct diagram.

However I must stress that ∞ could be replaced with n-dimensional , it would be the same thing.  Time is the 3 dimensions of xyz  and  energy.  Simply explained space-time,

Δ k0Space  = ΔΕ

=t

Which says the change of empty space is equal to a change of energy which creates the interwoven dimensions of xyz and energy which is time.
