No problem to recover the page, but the text has gone, I must set to and re type it.
I know I should type into another text program, or use Edge, but the habit dies hard...

If the internet loses the connection, I can just paste in the text again on the original page.
Sometimes I might end up with 2 copies on the internet, but it saves a lot of retyping!

it will record every keystroke made when the browser is open.
There are covert keyloggers used to capture passwords / bank-details ...

So if you do install a keylogger in your browser be very careful where you get it from.

After I type a long piece of text, I select and press ctrl-c (copy to the PC copy buffer).
Then I press Post/Submit etc.
Same... learned by bitter experience...

I also just do a copy to clipboard on long posts just in case for posts I regard as long, but often just a back operation will give a usable copy with SMF forums. Then you copy it, refresh the page ( which reloads it) and paste it in the new page image.

I didn't know that about Firefox.That is why Firefox keeps on growing in memory with time, keeping that file open, you can see the massive file it generates in Process Explorer as well under windows. Process explorer is part of Windows Sysinternals, a company Microsoft bought a few years ago just for the utilities they made, which are incredibly useful in using Windows better.

So that's why Firefox becomes such a hog... I thought it was just the clapped out computer I was using that was leaking memory somewhere! I must say though that the forgiving Firefox "back" button did save me from extreme frustration on a number of occasions... Still, every pearl has its price!
