Title: Can polyurethane be used for low-cost housing?

Hi Chris
 
I am a Grade 6 learner in South Africa.I am doing a project on low cost housing, and am interested in finding out if a polyutherane interlocking panel system could be used in the construction of low cost housing.

I need to invetsigate low cost effective, weatherproof materials that could be used in the construction industry. Perhaps polyutherane moulds could be cast, liquid polymers poured into the cast, which when dry hardens.

It would be most appreciated if you could let me know if this could work.Obviously I would not want to come up with anything that is not eco friendly.

 Do you mean Solid polyurathane molded Blocks or hollow glass filled kind of thing or what?

Polyurethane is flammable and releases poisonous gases when burned ...
