Title: Why is iTunes so picky?
Post by: JnA on 11/02/2009 13:31:47
Hello techmeisters

I want to put a song onto my ipod, but it's not a compatible file for iTunes...  is there any way I can change that...

(I have tried 'save as' but it does not give me the right options...)

Thanks

Yes. If it is MP3, then it should be compatible.

iPOD compatible files (http://support.apple.com/kb/TA38530?viewlocale=en_US)

If they are already mp3, then there is another problem....

"let's work the problem people - let's not make it worse by guessin'"

Hmmm... That certainly should work with iTunes.

Does the file play in anything else?  WMP, Winamp etc?

If not, it'll be a file issue.  You may be able to re-encode the file in something like Audacity, that may fix it.

Ah.. I was trying to transfer it from real player instead of trying to import it from  itunes...  Thanks for your help.
