While fasting, Shinto monks attach (under their kaminos) a heated stone on their chest to stave off hunger. Heated stones are also used (in undeveloped worlds) to deal with almost all physical pains. Can regular, over-the-counter analgesics stave off hunger as well? Hunger is a pain afterall.

... Hunger is a pain afterall.
