Title: What will be the next emerging space technology?
Post by: bearnard1212 on 18/01/2021 13:26:54
Science and technology are fast-growing things and as we can see a lot of new space technologies are about to be produced or invented. Which one do you expect the most?

I Expect & Wish for a Simplified Programmable Instructions to be fed into the Web Design Layout Structure which Stops Users from creating ten(10) different OPs in a single day.
👍

P.S. - By the time that happens, let's just be courteous & follow chat etiquettes.

I liked the way how microsatellites are developing and how they partialy substitute ordinary sats. This is a cheaper and easier way for some missions ordinary sats used to do. Also, we may use microsats bigger number of fields that only emphasis their competence. Satellite technology take part in our everyday live, so we cannot imagine our precent world without sat technology

This is a very vital subject. Let me contribute my vision/collection with live examples.

Despite the emerging new 'pure' technologies, there is a list of already implemented and coming approaches.
The space technology purposes and applications are diverse and promising to be fruitful, as they should.

In my opinion, the nearest technologies to support Space exploration and processes handling (e.g. new launches, existing satellites coordination) are:
- AI (in particular Machine Learning) for navigation and space surveillance, decrease near earth orbit load. Actually they are already there but with a lot to go;
- All the research that gives us zoom in to particles and make them work as a reliable system (e.g. quantum data manipulation, energy delivery) will bring new materials, new facilities for faster and more effective stepping forward;
- Ecologic fuel approaches (spam link);
- 3D printing (spam link);
- The Earth surveillance (purposed existing technology development).

Yeah, I agree, miniaturization will be the next field of study for space explorations.

3D printing of homes on Mars (already proves of concept are reviewed).

In my opinion, the development of space technologies is beneficial, now there are many technologies, but not all of them may make sense. It is important that the technology is not just space debris, but has benefits.
I can say for sure that I am not a supporter of space tourism, although this is a breakthrough because it concerns the issue of ecology.
Now the issue of global warming and ecology is acute, so all technologies for solving this problem will become a breakthrough in our world. For example,  [plug, url removed]
Now many countries are beginning to live by the new rules, just so as not to reach the point of no return.
Hopefully, the following technologies will be tied to important issues.

On the Subject of,
The Point of No Return...

If something has a beginning, and passes through Time.
Then irrespective of whether it ever ends or goes on, won't every point in Time be a point of no return.

Ps - Mental Health & Wellbeing just seems to have a very thin transparent line between the sane & insane.
Some cross the line at times, but are able to get back.
Others unfortunately can't make it back.

Hi.

Then irrespective of whether it ever ends or goes on, won't every point in Time be a point of no return.
   For the object itself, yes.   It cannot experience a previous moment in its timeline again.  (Unless we discover wormholes - which we haven't).
    For a distant observer who can change their motion relative to the other object, the situation is a little different.  This is described in "the Andromeda paradox" which you can find more info about if you wish.  It relates to the time dilation you were discussing in another thread.  The distant observer can effectively force the other object back to an earlier time.  This is interesting - but the observer and object will be too far away from each other to influence anything that happened.  So you can force a distant object back to an earlier time but you cannot change anything that happened (I hope that makes sense).

Best Wishes.
