Title: Are there any home remedies for jock itch?
Post by: winwin on 14/03/2018 04:26:43
Are there any home remedies for jock itch? I have had jock itch for several days now. Redness, itchiness and burning in the genital areas. I try rubbing alcohol but this doesn't really work. In fact, it just reduces the itching a little.

I know a lot of jock itch remedies, such as garlic, Listerine, tea tree oil and white vinegar. I've never tried them, but I used cream for my jock itch. It worked. It did reduce redness and itching in my groin in just less than 3 days. I remember the name of this was <<<COMMERCIAL NAME REMOVED>>>. To make sure, you can ask the pharmacist or search online for the information.

Thank you for your reply. A rash, redness and intense itching- these symptoms are driving me crazy. Garlic, alcohol, apple cider vinegar- i tried all of them but still see no improvement. Will consider the cream you suggested.

We often think that the skin is a barrier - it keeps the insides of our bodies, and it keeps the outside world. But our skin is also filled with special cells of the immune system. These cells protect the skin and body from viruses, bacteria and other threats. Whenever these cells detect a suspicious substance, they begin a chain reaction to the skin, which leads to inflammation. The medical name of this reaction is dermatitis. But it is often called a rash.
There are many different types of dermatitis, and each of them has an excellent set of procedures. Sometimes the immune cells of the skin react to what directly touches the skin. In other cases, the immune system flares up in the skin due to infection or a whole-body disease.
An allergy to the skin or allergic contact dermatitis causes a red, itchy rash, which is sometimes accompanied by small blisters or cones. A rash occurs when the skin contacts an allergen, usually a harmless substance that attacks the immune system. Allergens cause allergic reactions. Allergens can come from certain soaps, creams and even pets.
Your immune system may not react the first time you encounter an allergen. But over time, your immune system can become sensitive to the substance. As a result, your next contact may lead to inflammation and allergic rash.
Some medications, including antibiotics, such as amoxicillin, can also cause itching of the skin. If you are allergic to the drug, the rash may be the first sign of a serious reaction. As with other allergies, the reaction to the drug may not occur the first time you take it. It can appear after several applications. However, not all drugs cause allergies.
If you notice an itch or a painful skin rash, think twice before going to the pharmacy and getting a cream if you do not know the cause. Creams that you buy can create problems that further worsen your initial problem. Because the rash can be caused by many different things - bacteria, viruses, drugs, allergies, genetic disorders and even light - it is important to find out what kind of dermatitis you have.
A dermatologist or a skin doctor is specially trained to find out what causes the rash, and help you get the right treatment.
Your skin is your protection. It's not just the cover that keeps your body; this is also your first line of defense against germs and chemicals. Take care of your skin so that your skin can take care of you.

Garlic and vinegar would be a nice choice to start. You can try it.
