Benefit of covid: Our altered social practices have seemingly prevented about two years of all the common stuff I/we usually contract each year. Sorry this hasn't been entirely true for you.
One difficulty with having young children is they bring all sorts of bugs home. It actually has been better (in this one regard) since the covid pandemic started. But it turns out that young children still are not very good at washing their hands carefully and wearing masks properly (though my kids still seem to do a much better job than the average Joe in the grocery store, whose nostrils always seem to peak out over top of the mask... *facepalm*)
