A real democracy is anonymous, outcomes accepted by all, no voter ignored, all having a equal fair share. And no one, not even you, will say that this is what we have. Not without looking stupid.

We believe in our hierarchies, being 'enlightened', well, a little more than ourselves. We also let them take the responsibility. Not so far away from an 'enlightened' dictatorship, although our rulers are exchanged at a constant 'democratic' rate.

Democracy and the industrial revolution, hand in hand. It doesn't state that any other type of ideology would have done it better, or differently though. But it do states something about democracy, that it isn't as deep and visionary as you think. It becomes just another plaster over a global game of inequality.

None of those politicians existing today, or ideologies and diverse 'rulers' will embrace my definitions. Doesn't matter what ideology they confess themselves to have. I'm just as uncomfortable with Mr Putin, Mr Xi Jinping as I am with Mr Biden.

The biggest difference is that a real democracy is a very 'flat' platform, you don't vote for a party, you vote for yourself. You get a question of what you think, and you answer it. It has its own problems of course, how the implementation of it is created, and then how the questions are created and formulated. But that isn't any different from what we have today.

Parties and so 'lobbying' will probably still exist, for those of you unable to make up your minds. But they won't be anything you must vote for.
