Title: Can Hyperbaric Oxygen Chambers benefit people like me?
Post by: Karen W. on 24/05/2017 09:22:16
Meaning people who suffer from Diastolic heat failure, Passive COPD, and Avascular necrosis of both hips, knees, and shoulders,
As they are very painful bone wise. Anyway all of them are either caused by or exasperated by lack of oxygen. Just wondering if this treatment could offer any relief and or help to replenish oxygen to the joints and other organs through pressurized chamber as such..?

Avascular necrosis of both hips...

"Hyperbaric oxygen therapy as a treatment for stage-I avascular necrosis of the femoral head". (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12729112)

NB: "stage-I" is early  ... https://radiopaedia.org/articles/steinberg-staging-of-avascular-necrosis-1 (https://radiopaedia.org/articles/steinberg-staging-of-avascular-necrosis-1)

Thank you RD. I will read now even though the orthopedic specialist and surgeon said that mine has progressed far past avascular necrosis beyond the last stages requiring total replacement but It does seem to be in a lower stage further down on my upper thigh bones... Thank you?
