Title: Can ascending or descending affect visual perception?
Post by: katieHaylor on 09/05/2018 09:25:36
Ray says:

Why does your brain clank while thinking about climbing or descending stairs? I can be going up without a care in the world until I might look down, then it seems I grow another leg when I realise I'm climbing stairs. Same when descending the same stairs.

What do you think?

What I mean by "Brain Clank" is that sensation of all of a sudden forgetting how to use a stair for a second or two. You look down and think about the stairs, and suddenly your legs forget that you were climbing (or descending) stairs or it seems that the stairs somehow shifted in space.

Q. Can ascending or descending affect visual perception?
A. Movement can can trigger dizziness (https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/dizziness/symptoms-causes/syc-20371787), (particularly head movement).
