Title: Why is the room spinning (effects of intoxication)
Post by: paul.fr on 05/03/2007 10:39:28
Why is it ,that when you are in a state of drunkenness and go to bed the room appears to be spinning - even when you have your eyes closed.

(mod: clarified title)

THat is a good question. Were you in a state of drunkeness last night!! LOL Or were you reliving rides at the little fair.. LOL Sorry just poking fun with you..I have heard of that happening. I have experienced it but not during drunkenness! but after standing to fast and closing my eyes and the room seems to keep spinning!

I have been known to get quite queasy also. The only ride I can take is the ferris wheel. Although I rode the graviton but I was young whippersnapper.. the hamer mad me sick and it was a little ride! The latch and lap belt came off and the cage door swung open me little baby sister and I I was hanging from the stupid door about 200 or so feet over the fairground and what really made me made was first all my money fell out of my pockets and my goodies, then, the gate flew open and mi fell forward graing hold of the rope and the open swinging gate which at this point was swinging wildly back and forth with me hanging from it . I was too dang scared to cry, I could see me grandma way down on the ground screaming at the attendant to do something my baby siter in the mean time was screeming and holdinh onto part of the gate and had her fet moving back and forth as the gate swung, because she was pushing om my shoulders with her feet trying to stay inthe seat and not fall on the ground. I cannot tell you how long I hung there over the fair ground, but what seemed forever was finaly eased as they were able to right the hamer slow enough to get us to the ground and close the ride.. I never rode the hammer again in my life... My grandma almost had a stroke and we were petrified..
