Do people who consistenly take cold showers throughout their liftime live longer??

maybe they have less stresss because their electricity bill isnt as high as someone who takes hot showers?

I don't think there has been any studies done on this.  Even if it were true (and I have no reason to believe it is true), you would still need to work out cause and effect (would it be that people live longer because they have cold showers, or could it be that people who are generally healthier happen to take more cold showers)?

They certainly would not suffer from elevated bloodpressure  [;D]

I suspect that a vibrant and well ticking immune system is a possible explanation maintained and primed by cold showers.
That plus the regular excercise one would get from hopping up and down quite fast plus other rapid, circulation enhancing movements as one tries to get dry and warm again.

I want to say that part of the reason was related to inflamation..i.e. the cold showers decreased chronic general inflamation throughout the body. Inflamation does usually indicate a problem, so I guess this kind of makes sense.
