Title: Why do animal eyes shine in headlights?
Post by: Davie Lapsley on 05/04/2011 09:30:02
Davie Lapsley  asked the Naked Scientists:

I am a milk man in rural Aberdeenshire  and regularly meet various animals on the road, i.e rabbits, deer, cats and such like, also the occasional person wandering home the country roads.

Why is it your head lights will make an animals eyes shine very brightly in the night but a humans eyes are "non reflective"?
