Title: Does The Moon Have A Molten Core ?
Post by: neilep on 29/09/2011 17:57:43

Dearest Moltenologists,

As a sheepy I of course luff the moon....once a month I turn into a Weresheep and have my wicked way with some passing ignoramuses....half the time they enjoy it !

Here look at this....this is the Moon.

The Moon

Nice eh ?...Being delivered next Tuesday as the cue ball for my snooker table.

The Moon.... as ewe know.... was invented in 1546 and so is rather old !.......but does it have a molten core ?

Do not mistake it’s core for an apple core.

An Apple Core

For a start apple cores are made from fruit whereas we all know the moon is not actually made from cheese but from Santa Clauses reindeer poo....this is true because someone told me.

So, Does The Moon Have A Molten Core ?

whajafink ?

hugs and shmishes

mwah mwah

It's not really molten. More a bit squishy, I think.

(At least, that's what a bloke in the pub said.)

Evidence from the seismic monitoring (by instruments left by the Apollo missions) that ran to the mid 70's (? I think) suggested that if there is a molten core it is very small indeed.  This is partly confirmed by the moons very weak magnetic field.

Anyway everyone really knows that the moon is a button sewn onto the blanket of the night.  Just ask Mr Spoon.

Yeah, the moon's 'molten core' really hinges on whether it is made of Gouda or Brie.

I suppose the Moon did actually have a molten core at some point in the past, and presumably, the core still generates a bit of heat from radioactive decay.

Yes, the moon does have a molten core because of gravity.  It is not centered in the middle as some might think.  It is a bit off centered due to the gravitational forces the earth exerts on it as the moon only shows one side of itself to earth at all times.  The molten core of the moon is closer to earth as it faces. :)  Have a great day guys and gals!!
