Title: Is the phosphorus in phosphate harmful?

Is the phosphorus in phosphate going through the food chain and causing some of our cancers, etc?

No, It can't be. Phosphates are vital. Not least because they are part of the molecule of DNA.

Unless it's a radioactive isotope of phosphorous... [:)]
