Title: You've just won the lottery
Post by: ukmicky on 08/08/2005 01:59:07
You've just won the lottery and you see and old book signed by Newton and Einstein.
You purchase it thinking it could be worth something. why not you're feeling lucky.
The book is called

                        "The universal book of  knowledge"

you open it and the first page reads

you have ten minutes to write down one question and the book will anwser it.

what question would ask

The clock is ticking.

And there's me thinking you would ask a question which would aid mankind.

It would be funny if it gave you a name with no address

Well, if I got time to think it would be something else. But the first question that came to mind was, who killed JFK?

The current answer to who killed JFK according to our creative breed of lawyers was the company who manufactured the gun.

I would ask.... is the universe, universal- does it have an end?

That is the one thing that I always wondered. Or you could ask what are the numbers for the next lottery :) But I would ask the previous one

well, assuming questions like ' how to  make world peace and cure all diseases etc etc are not valid...I would ask , what is the next  4 weeks lottery results (including euro)....oh..as a side answer, it could answer what really did happen at the commencement of the Cosmos ?  (I'm hoping that answer would also reveal if God exists or not)........
But my main question and as you say, i can only ask one....would be...' why do i always pick the slowest check-out queue in the supermarket ?

I won the lottery back in July. Admittedly it was only £7,000 but it was as a result of visiting this web site . . .

I checked out this Hot Picks website and, on the face of it, it looks like a good deal but is it really genuine? There are so many National Lottery scams out there couldn't this just be another one?

As with many things in life, if you have any doubts about something then it's usually best not to risk it. Personally speaking I've tried a few "schemes" in the past that claim to win you millions on the National Lottery but you end up paying for nothing.

However, this website was different for me because I actually gained. It doesn't claim to make you millions but over time you can profit from it.

I get e-mailed the Hot Picks numbers before each Lottery draw, put them on, then sit back and wait to see if I've won. There's even a money back guarantee if you don't win (although I obviously didn't need to use it!)

[I probably shouldn't do this but the numbers I've been sent for Saturday November 5th are 12, 16, 29 and 39]

Winner, presumably every one gets sent ther same numbers eh ?

I really have no time for this kind of thing...the balls are picked randomly, it's as simple as that. Doesn't matter about the statistics...you have to believe that there is some supernatural force at work here to make some numbers more likey to win than others. and that is a load of dogs doo-dahs !!!

...and it always begs the question that if it truly works why share the knowledge...just win the lottery by yourself every time !...no offence by the way Winner, I'm happy you won the 7k, but I doubt it was because there was some magical law that made it happen...in each and every case it just has to be happenstance....and that is all it is..really.

Going back to the original question, I would ask what is the ultimate question to the ultimate answer (42)[:D]

I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

That's easy, Stinkin.  The ultimate question is "What do you get if you multiply six by seven?"

Solvay_1927 ah but that doesn't actually work because Authur wasn't a native of the 'planet' earth he was a decendent of the golgafrinchams (is that spelt correctly? i haven't got the books to hand[?]) Anyways its probably best you don't know what it is. otherwise it would destroy the mistique surrounding 42.

I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.
