When you drink a cup of tea for example, it will raise your core body temperature. That is a natural response of your body which makes you sweat more. Nerves in your mouth and digestive system recognize the heat of the beverage. They stimulate the brain to produce more sweat. The benefit it the cooling of your body.

Fun fact: The sweat (little waterdrops on your skin) evaporates and cools you down. So if you drink a hot beverage in summer you will cool down more than with an ice-cold beverage.
