There is snow......lots of it.......and I don't mean in the Antarctic......I mean outside my window !

It is now probably about 1.5mm thick at its thickest right now. We've had sleet and snow on and off for much of the afternoon (as Karen mentioned, I was already reporting slight snow/ice at 03:00 this morning), but little of it has been settling for long - but it looks like now that the Sun has laid its head to rest, so too the snow may rest awhile.

REALLY? Isn't that weird. Last time here it snowed like crazy a few weeks ago but not on my houseit was like four blocks away which is visable here and it snowed so hard yo couldn't see to drive but at my house oh no can't have any snow here!! LOL NO FAIR! ME TOO!

I love the cold too - particularly when it goes sub-zero (centigrade) - so the air dries out.

I have to say that I too prefer cold to hot, I do find my freezer hogs the bed though !!

LOL.....That's my problem....I require factor 500+.........and I just frazzle in the sun ........I just can not see the rational of laying in the sun !!!!!!....(except to look at girlies with all their girlie bits which me luffs !! ..YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY !!! ).....

Yes, it's grim up North. [:(]
For your information Karen, at home it just melted straight away as it was too wet. On my way to work the snow was pretty heavy and had settled along the motorway going to Hull and in the fields.
The worst snow i remember was when i lived in Milton Keynes, man we used to have some bad winters there. I remember going to school in salapets and ski coats.

Milton Keynes in only about 20 miles away here - but often a few miles can make quite a difference if there are a few hills in between (just driving about 10 miles towards London from here can often have a marked difference in weather).
But then, Milton Keynes itself is quite a sprawling place, including some quite isolated villages, and some smeller townships, such as Northampton and Bletchley (which both technically belong to Milton Keynes, although they have clear identities and histories of their own). Milton Keynes itself is just a small nondescript village, but then the Government decided that this village should swallow up half the countryside around it to become a new town. Oh, and if i recall, the whole place is colour coded, to say nothing of having concrete cows (not sure what kind of milk they produce).

Yes, Milton Keynes the village and town are different. I used to live quite near the town centre, in a place called stantonbury, if you know it?
We used to bike ride to Northampton, there was not that much there at that time. The cows! i have no idea what they were for but MK did become more well known because of them.
Are they still there?
And bletchley was popular for it's market, if i remember correctly.

Bletchley is the name of a town that was incorporated into the conurbation of Milton Keynes. Nearby Bletchley Park is an old mansion that was made famous by its use during WWII to house the team that did work on breaking the German military codes that are said to have significantly foreshortened the war.

Milton Keynes is full of Roundabouts !!
I cannot stand roundabouts, they drive me crazy!..LOL They installed 5 of them in Arcata last year.Actually it may have been the year befor towards the end. Someone on the city council loves them... They are a nuisance around here because all the big semi trucks tear them up trying to corner there big rigs in them... I don't have a clue what they were thinking. One of them is straight off from the freeway exit so coming traffic going 65 miles an hour or suddenly breaking hard to slow for the curve, lots of wrecks, Needs to just have the old stop sign replaced and quite repairing the darn roundabouts!!!
