Which directions are the charges moving?
If there is a steady current (Direct Current, or DC) in the two outer wires, no current will be induced in the center wire. However, if there is time-varying current (Alternating Current, or AC) in the outer wires, then inductive and capacitive effects will induce a current in the middle wire.Whether inductive or capacitive effects dominate depends on the voltages, the currents and the distance between the wires.- Inductive effects will dominate in high-current/low impedance circuits- Capacitive effects will dominate in high-voltage/high impedance circuits
So if I was to temporal alternate DC in different directions, that would produce a current ?
