We've always behaved in a similar manner, but our earth was so much bigger then, and our science and toys not as destructive. And we never had to include anything like global warming, staying for millenniums. We still don't believe it can be true, don't we?

I know that some of you still want to believe that we can survive it, if not you then your kid, or theirs.

That one is very far from the truth. what could have been the truth in a more normal climate change isn't there. We should have been in slowly cooling climate without ourselves being involved. All 'natural' 'geological' time scales disrupted. And Earth hasn't really meet anything like this either, and her responses to it being mostly ineffective.

doesn't mean she can't 'repair', but on that timescale we're just a 'blip' in the dark
