Settle a bet, would you keep this?

My girlfriend says that my latest acquisition dooms me to full geek, I say that anyone interested in physics would love it.
Some background, I work in deep foundation systems throughout Scotland and recently on a job in Glasgow found quick clay being brought up from about 22m down. Having always loved non-Newtonian solids I collected some and brought it home.
My argument is that now everyone that comes round has some fun playing with mud and learns a little something, She argues that my last shred of non geekness is now dead and no one wants to play with mud when visiting.
Ruling please.

OH by the way... keep it!
I like the idea of a coffee table with two center cut outs to house a large tub with the mud,and one for a water tub for rinsing etc... equipt the table w/ built on paper towels holder! You could use it with many other things as well!

I hadn't heard of 'quick clay' before but a quick check on Wikipedia reveals it to be Leda Clay - very interesting stuff. Never actually seen or been able to play with any of it either. Just how 'runny' does it become when disturbed?

...And its claws are as big as cups, and for some reason it's got a tremendous fear of stamps! And Mrs Doyle was telling me it's got magnets on its tail, so if you're made out of metal it can attach itself to you! And instead of a mouth it's got four arses!

Keep it, with a hammer next to it.
Persuade your girlfriend that it is "an installation" so it is art therefore cull-cha not geek even if it has a kind of educational value to.
You could even let her name it.
(mind you amongst other things I have some fossil tree roots blutacked onto my monitor, a doorstop of lewisian gneiss, some satin spar slowly disintergrating on my desk and some botroydal haematite in my highvis coat pocket)
