Title: Biplane with narrowed wing gap. Behavior?

Hello everyone! :)

I have a question about the behavior of planes (aerodynamic) and their wings, specially biplane wings.

Imagine a biplane from the side. Now narrow the wing-gap down from about 1-2 meters to 50 centimeters or even less.
Now we should have a less standard tight gap between the upper and the bottom wing pair and a very unusual looking plane.

What would happen? Would there be no difference at all or would it have lasting advantages / disadvantages? What is the behavior at all...?


Would be nice to hear some voices on this one!

Possible marginal increase in lift. Horrendous increase in drag. See "slotted flap"
