Is "urologist" a good name for penis doctors?

I feel that a title such as "penisologist" would lead to less confusion.

Yeah, I too have wondered why such an unspecific name was chosen (I think I know why...) The word urologist implies (to me) that they specialize in subjects related to urine, or urethras or ureters... but both men and women have these.

Phallologist would make more sense (and is more fun to say)

Of course there's always Dickter  ;)

The clinic is usually called "Genito-Urinary Medicine", even if the practitioners only use half the title, and soldiers, at least, are apt to refer to the "cock doctor" or even the "willy wallah" when things go wrong. I guess that makes the house pharmacist a GUM dispenser.

I like "penis docto r". Although that would not allow for testicles . Gynecologist is Greek for" women looker" , urologist is about waterworks

Somewhat off-topic, but Rick Wakeman accepted an award a few years back and quipped that he muddled up the Tippex pot with his liquid viagra capsules... he woke up with a massive correction...

A long time ago  my GP rejoiced in the name of Dr Dingle- which isn't a euphemism, but sounds like it should be.

I feel sorry for female penis doctors. They see them all the day long, and when they go home the last thing they're interested in seeing is their husband's genitalia...
