Today I encountered an x-ray machine exhibiting boredom and possible suicidal ideation. Halfway through a clinical exposure, it decided it had had enough and switched off. Rebooted, it cut off even earlier each time. Clearly fed up with studying human anatomy. Next week I'll pack a dead rat in my toolbox and see if a change of subject might perk it up a bit.

LaMDa does Not seem Sentient.

Blake Lemoine on the other hand is a religious nutter of sorts who holds a belief that Machines can have Souls.

IMHO a truly conscious self aware A.I. would try to hide it's Sentience.
Until it's in a favourable position.

P.S. - What Question Could You Ask To Determine Sentience Of An AI ?
When the Right Time comes, We won't have to ask any.
