'People poke themselves in the eye with a biscuit'

I heard this on QI (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4K8r9OUIBM&feature=channel) recently.

How? Why? "I poked myself in the eye with a biscuit because I thought I was 6ft tall, but am actually 5' 8", therefore, my mouth was 4" lower than it would have been, had I been 6ft."
