Has it got a moat? [:D]
Is he a Knight of the Flounder Table?
-
he does occasionally try to move the rocks around. maybe he is building a moat... he is not a knight however. that would be far too much work for such a spoiled fish
-
LOL!!
That was a good one doc! LOL
-
If you want puns, you've come to the right plaice
-
Sometimes puns can be funny , if they are not used as a way to insult! LOL I found that one funny and in good taste!

This is our kakariki, Phoenix. They're usually green, but we found this 1 & were stunned by his vivid colouring.

Comet ready for a bit of exercise. He was badly neglected when we got him, but he's doing really well now. He's put on weight, his hind quarters have filled out, there's actually some muscle along his spine at last, & he's losing his pot belly. He's a lot happier too.

Wow Doc That is really cool that you have done that for that pony..Is he a shetland looks like an old carnival pony! Comet is a good name.. You should take a new pictuer and post it! I bet he looks great.. My daughter bought a ghorse that had been neglected and It took a long time getting him to fill out properly as we were worried about him Floundering.. He was in bad shape. He did really nicely though and was great! His name was bandit! He lives next door these days.. When my daughter lost interest I gave her the horse as her 35 year old mare had died and her 30 year old male had also passed shortly after they had been stall buddies for most all of their years..

yes i saw those pictures earlier. i like the birdy. i don't like them flying around me though. he's cute in the picture though
-
The bird is beautiful, I don't believe I have ever heard of one of them before!
-
Karen - we were told Comet was a Shettie before we went to see him but we think he's a Dartmoor. You can't tell from the pic, but he's too big to be a Shettie.
He wasn't called Comet when we got him (he & Tango were called something stupid like Bill & Phil). We've had them for a couple of months now & we're really pleased how quickly Comet has picked up.
Sandra's boys ride him quite regularly & he's turning into the perfect kids' pony. He's gentle, responding well to training, cheeky - everything you could want from a child's pony.
He was listless & lethargic when we got him, but he's so much happier now. He's starting to show a lot of character now too.
He's not as cheeky or stroppy as Tango, though. He really is a stubborn oik & it's going to take a lot of work to get him rideable. He's starting to respond, but it's going to take a long time. I've found out that he loves going over trotting poles. I get him into the menage and he happily trots & canters over them. He'd rather hop over them than walk round them. When I call him he will deliberately make a detour to go over them.
I've got him trotting & cantering without a lungeline now - he responds to my voice commands - when he chooses to! I've had to bully him a few times, but I think he's realising it's more fun to co-operate.
-
I'd not heard of kakarikis before. They're New Zealand parrots & have a peculiar trait of walking upside-down like a bat across the top of the cage.
They like fruit & Phoenix has already managed to plaster raspberry up the wall.
He lives next to Coco the cockatiel. On the other side of Coco is the nameless budgie. Moonfire has seen Coco on webcam and said he's a right little show-off.
-
I'm going to publish a web album of the animals with pics & vids. I'll post the link when it's done.
-
That would be cool. It sounds like you have a love for animals. That is great! I love horses and ponies. I will watch for your link!
-
Yes, I love animals. My case comes up next week! [:D]
-

Sweet Doctor! I wanna get some birds!
-
Pretty Bird for sure!
-
yes!
-
I like birds too! they do make me nervous when the big ones start flapping their wings around your head! LOL Kinda like kadie that way!LOL!
-
HAHA! Yeah I don't know what kind of bird I want yet, one that will live a very long time and look cool.
-
Parrots usually live a long time and they certainly are cool. Cockateils I am not sure of the life span but I bet with good care they can live a long time too!
Coi can live to be three hundred years old! At least that was what I was told by an aquarium shop. They can be passed down from generation to generation. I understand there was some kind of recored in Japan or something about a coi! I can't remember where I heard it!
-
Karen - Tiels can live, on average, 25 years although some have been known to reach 40.
-
Parrots are awesome. One time i went to a pet store and one stared at me. So i said hello. And it said hello back! I was blown away.
Maybe that was my alien gift of tounges.

Here are 2 new pictures of Comet. Compare these to the 1 I posted earlier in this thread & you can see how well he's doing now.

Your right Doc he is doing well..and looking terrific!
-
Is he Arabian Shetland or do you know Doc..Maybe Morgan?
-
We think he's a Dartmoor, but we're not entirely sure.
We're so pleased with how quickly he's progressing. His muscles are starting to fill out rather than being concave & his coat is looking really good now. He's lost most of his saggy belly too.
He's a lot happier too with loads more energy. It's Comet's stable that the swallows are nesting in. Most mornings when we get there, he's got bird poop on him [:D]

Thats right... you did say that.. I had forgotten.. I don't think I have ever seen that breed, or heard of it! I don't know a lot about hoses, I just like them they are great! Loaded with personality! LOL
