Dear Neutronstarologists,
As a sheepy I’m quite a bright fellow really, ask me anything and I will give ewe an honest answer…occasionally, I may even answer correctly….A neutron star is really thick !...it’s about as dense as dense can get !
Look here’s one being the stupidest thing in the universe !

A sugar cube size of this things ways about 40 grams, erhmm no…actually that’s not quite right, I mean 400 billion tons !
Being so dense, Can Neutron stars stop neutrinos from flowing right through them ?

I don't know the exact answer but Neutrinos escape quite easily form normal stars and white dwarfs. Neutron stars are very considerably more dense but they are also much smaller at only a few miles across so my guess is although they might get a few interactions getting out they wouldn't find it all that difficult compared with radiation or any other sort of particle.

Depends i would hae thought, how energetic due to speed the neutron was.

We are not talking about neutrons but neutrinos which are essentially uncharged electrons. Neutrinos only ineract using the weak interaction and could pass through the sun quite easily without interacting with anything.
The loss of energy due to neutrino radiation is one of the things that cause certain types stars to suffer from an abrupt core collapse and explode as a supernova

The mass of a Neutrino is vastly less than that of an Electron, is the latest thinking that the mass of a Electron is mostly due to its charge

this is correct; furthermore, there are three tipes of neutrinos: electronic, muonic, tauonic.

This is actually an old idea, described also in one of the books: "The Feynman lectures on Physics" (but the idea is older). Didn't know that it has been come out again. Where did you find it?
