Title: different hair lengths
Post by: paul.fr on 18/04/2007 09:14:02
who do some hairs grow longer than others?

it seems to be that all hair on the head and face can grow to any length.

men can have long beards

yet, hair on the arms, legs, armpits and pubic hair seems to grow to one length, fall out and grow back to the same small size as before!

why should hair in different places act like this?

Is it DNA or Genes, I think some of it is heredity to an extent and then some of it in the male and female genes or chromosomes.. is that part of our make up! I can be a pretty hairy girl is unatteneded!!! LOL

Can you imagine how inconvenient it might be to have 3 foot long pubic hairs?

Body hair too, if we went around naked, might be reasonable to be long, but under clothing, could be somewhat problematic if it grew to 3 foot or longer in length.

Ofcourse it has something to do with our genes, so that if a woman with long hair on her head is seen as pretty, then she was likely to have more children, and then those children would have long hair on their head.  If a woman who had lots of body hair was seen as less pretty, she might have less suitors, and have less children, so there would be fewer children with lots of long body hair.

But what if women with long hair were all attracted to baldies?  [:D]

it is always growing, falling out and regrowing. What happens is, when the hair gets to it's predefined length the new hair stats to grow and pushes out the old hair, you just don't notice it.
