Title: Is it possible to make gravity with a machine?

Is there any machine called Gravity Field Generator?Does it generate Gravity ?  [;D] [:D] [;)]
There must be a way to produce artificial G force .......

It's called "Getting an enormous amount of mass into as small-a-space as possible". Probably low on portability, though.

These folks claim (http://www.technovelgy.com/ct/Science-Fiction-News.asp?NewsNum=579) they have done it. It seems plausible, but I haven't snooped around enough to get a clear take on it.

Here's the relevant quote:

I guess it could be frame dragging; but they didn't call it that. Google gets a few other hits; some mention frame dragging.

Frame dragging is a special case of more general effects named Gravitomagnetic field effects (and they have talked about these):
