Title: Gravity Field EMG
Post by: AdamBarnhart on 27/06/2012 03:42:09
I have a question that I dont know can be answered here its more of a theory, since at the time I have no means of testing it.

Well here goes,
My father and I have been working on a EMG ( I know its not a proven Tech and that's why we are working on it ). We are using Super Neo magnets they are very powerful and cost a good deal to be cut and shaped in the way we need for the application. We have several semi-working models and we noticed something, the magnetic field creates a gravity field with great power. The longer we run our test we see the field building. Our current tests show after 20 seconds we can build a field from .8 to 1.3 g......

I'm a programmer and pretty hands on; my father is a design engineer. He designed and build the prototypes and I have been writing the software and monitoring the testing. But as I said I like to be hands on, recently I was reading a old note from Tesla about firing a electric current into a gravity field and creating and ION generator. He got the idea from sun rays hitting Earths gravity field and ionizing.

Anyone have any idea's could this work.

As it's more of a theory, we'll put it in New Theories.

Adam -

First off, what's an EMG?  If as I think you are trying to generate a gravitational field via an electromagnetic field then I am afraid your efforts are doomed to failure.

Gravity and Electro-magnetism can (theoretically) be united - but only at staggering energies; way way beyond even the LHC (or the LHC's much bigger brother).   In normal world terms the only way we can generate gravity is by having mass this is the Newtonian ideal - Einstein's General Relativity showed that mass, energy, and their fluxes are all part of what causes curvature which particles experience as gravitational attraction.

For instance - you cannot fire an electric current into a gravity field.  Wherever your electron gun (or whatever you are using) is situated it is ALREADY within the gravitational field.  The sun is within the (admittedly weak) gravitational field of the earth already - gravity dies off with the inverse square of the distance; but it never goes completely.

The best science you could do is to work out where your systematic/methodological error is - ie something is showing an attraction where there should be none.  I think you need to consider things like induced charge separation and stuff like that - although without seeing your apparatus I am wildly guessing.

EMG stands for Electric magnetic generator, It operates using rings of magnets one pushing the other to move the center ring. They have been shown in detail on many sites and in videos ( many fake ). We have a different approach then the others out there and they do and promise to work.

How is see it as gravity may differ then others see gravity, it makes a magnetic field that "acts" like a gravity well would be more accurate. It doesnt have mass to create a gravity field, but acts like one. If it was left unshielded; you can place say a rubber ball within 8 inches and release it, The ball would stay in place and even rotate.

This is why we have shielding in place, because the field builds the longer you run the EMG. we have other things in place to provint the field from expanding.

But the point is the field acts as a gravity well whether its gravity or a strong magnetic field i dont know. We are running blind on this. Seeing that the earth is a great big magnet that has mass to create gravity, and to create the magnetosphere. Think the application is a idea worth testing, My father doesn't since the prototypes are costing us a pretty penny he wants to make sure the systems works as intended before I start playing with options as he calls it. I more or less want to get other people opinions.

what do you think

I don't think there is enough information to comment. I believe, at least, that you are genuine in your attempts rather than trying to fake something but, as you must be aware, the overwhelming consensus amongst physicists would have it that you are wasting your time (and money).

Many of the electromagnetic "levitators" that are supposedly defying gravity are working on one of two bases: either using an oscillating magnetic field to create repulsive eddy currents in a conductor or creating a sufficient flux of ions that are capable of lifting a very light apparatus. Neither directly affect gravity but are simply providing a counter force. However, as I said, it is not really possible to comment on what you are doing because there is insufficient description of your techniques and apparatus.

If money was not a problem and you were both happy with the outlay I would say what the hell, you will both learn a lot about experimentation, techniques etc and you won't do any harm.  But I can as certain as possible that your apparatus is not using a magnetic field to generate a gravitational field.

If you can levitate a something for 30 secs using static normal magnets and nothing else then you should video it - Earnshaws theorem should forbid this even for a magnetic object; and why a rubber ball should work heaven knows.  If you merely hope that a rubber ball would be levitated - test it and find out.

Well, I wondered about O Manuel's claim that our star, Sol, has an iron core.  Now, I think that is possible even though science says no.  That if it did there could be no nuclear fissioning taking place as irons stop nuclear reactions.  And it would be a neutron star.  I think such tremendous fields of magnetism are possible and can 'wrap' entire solar systems not just stars.  So if Sol was 'wrapped' by a magnetic field, and a controlled collapse occurred, the elements would be ordered, the nuclear reactions would take place on the surface like he proposed, and the magnetic field would alter the surrounding solar system, which is why our is so 'orderly' as opposed to what Kepler has found.  It is evident that such energy would not be available to human manipulation.
