Title: Why are my nipples sore after running?

Mbumbe, Danson DM asked the Naked Scientists:
   
I am road runner doing 10 and 21km. I am a 45 year old male. After I complete my races, my nipples get sore, although they are ok after a few days. I am curious to know what causes this?

 "Jogger's nipple (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/place-london/plain/A676334)" is caused by chafing from clothing.
