Pascal's triangle and the magic number 55
56 also appears in Pascal's triangle, on rows 8 & 56.
54  also appears in Pascal's triangle, on row 54.

In fact every natural number appears in Pascal's triangle, at least twice. How does that make 55 special?

PI, Fi, and Pascal's Triangle.

       π * √ϕ  = 4 = 2²

1
 1 + 1 = 2 = 2¹
1 + 2 + 1 = 4 = 2²        = π * √ϕ
1 + 3 + 3 + 1 = 8 = 2³
1 + 4 + 6 + 4 + 1 = 16 = 2⁴
1 + 5 + 10 + 10 + 5 + 1 = 32 = 2⁵
 1 + 6 + 15 + 20 + 15 + 6 + 1 = 64 = 2⁶
 1 + 7 + 21 + 35 + 35 + 21 + 7 + 1 = 128 = 2⁷
 1 + 8 + 28 + 56 + 70 + 56 + 28 + 8 + 1 = 256 = 2⁸
 1 + 9 + 36 + 84 + 126 + 126 + 84 + 36 + 9 + 1 = 512 = 2⁹
 1 + 10 + 45 + 120 + 210 + 252 + 210 + 120 + 45 + 10 + 1 = 1024 = 2¹⁰

Toshiba Corporation proprietary "next-generation magic square algorithm" offers 1,024 color tone gradations, and realizes richer halftones by randomly lighting up pixels, producing natural images surpassing those typical of panel displays.
1 + 10 + 45 + 120 + 210 + 252 + 210 + 120 + 45 + 10 + 1 = 1024 = 2¹⁰
