Just curious. If this is too personal a question, then of course you do not need to vote.
I'm 38, by the way, although I feel about 58.

I allways feel that the biological age is not relevant. The age of the mind is a lot more important. I know people in their 20s who are set in their ways and have no curiosity at all. Those people are really old, IMO. On the other hand, people like you, who are still curious about things, those people are still young. Just like a professor of mine, who was allways open to new ideas and loved the exchange of ideas esp. with us students. Not every student likes his way of teaching, because he wanted us to use our mind.
Us students took turns in visiting him, when his health started to fail, but his mind was open 'til the end. His wife later told me that he loved our visits, and so did we.

Very touching story MonikaS, I only hope that my exit from this earth will be as honorable. Hopefully, that will not be a soon coming event...............Ethos

I predate Armstrong's and Aldrin's stroll by about a year.

My best friend's grandmother is the 12th oldest person in the world. One hundred and twelve, one thirteen August 26th. She is older than Bilbo.
Besse Cooper (it's pronounced Bess). She is more lucid than I.

On Saturday 18/7/09, WWI veteran and the world's oldest man, Henry Allingham died.
A veteran of the Battle of Jutland and the last surviving founder member of the RAF, he was born in Clapton, east London in 1896.
He put his longevity down to Cigareets and whiskey and wild, wild women (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1LzmNFvlfk&feature=PlayList&p=3465F6C21532BE71&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=32)

Taking that into consideration, I should live a good while yet.

Peppermints and Incense by Strawberry Alarm Clock (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3_S-YaRLa8&eurl) was #1 on the US charts the week of my birth.
-
I just took a look at the best sellers when I was hatched...... Would you believe 'Unforgettable' by Nat King Cole.
-
NICE SONG...
WHAT IS AUGUST 30TH 1960'S SONG?
-
Looks like the UK No. 1 for me was 'Puttin' On The Style/Gamblin' Man' by Lonnie Donegan & His Skiffle Group.
KarenW: Try:
http://www.ukpopcharts.co.uk/uk_number_1s.htm (http://www.ukpopcharts.co.uk/uk_number_1s.htm)
Looks like it was 'Apache' by the Shadows
-

Long John Baldry - 'Let The Heartaches Begin' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByQzVQlrMIs) was #1 on the UK charts. If it wasn't the fact that "Hello, Goodbye" was #1 the next week I'd seriously question UK tastes. Long John Baldry is almost Bill Shatner awful.
-
I thought Green Sleeves was number 1 when you were born Allen!
-
Thanks Lee, I do not know that song! LOL...
Gasp!!! - you don't remember Apache? I'm sure you'd recognise it if you heard it (it was a guitar based instrumental - no singing)
...and AllenG: Long John Baldry is nowhere near as bad as William Shatner. Fair enough if you didn't like his songs, but at least LJB could actually sing.
-
In the year I was born, 1942, White Christmas was recorded by Bing Crosby. A very good year it was......Ethos
