The process of making potable water is complex, made in very sophisticated infrastructures. We can easily turn fresh water into something safely drinkable by simply adding a chlorine or iodine tablet.- incredibly useful if you're hiking, and don't want to fully rely on bottled water or whatever. Can we do this to milk with a simple, one-stage process, or is it too risky?

However if it is inherent, one would expect to find a strong correlation of homosexual preference among siblings. I am unaware of such data but if it is available, it might support the underlying genetic hypothesis ofI knew my preference before puberty. This seems to be true with gay people as well. They often say something to the effect of "I knew early on I didn't feel the same way about [opposite sex] as my friends."

It used to be said that homosexuality was caused by society and a person's upbringing, i.e., "it's society's fault for your condition..." But most of us in the West now know we're born gay or straight. But other identities such as foot fetishes, pedophilia, coprophilia, lactophilia, cfnm, or violent acts that are required or preferred to achieve arousal, I think we can say these are not identities people are born with. Freud started this mode of thinking, and it has become prevalent in pop culture these past couple of decades- that is having a fictional character with a weird sexual identity that is the product of some childhood incident. I don't know.

Top-rated hotels/resorts in poorer countries usually cost little. But I can't help but notice that they seem to run on quasi-slave labor. And if you venture outside the tourist-designated areas as I often do south of my country's border (I speak passable Spanish) you see a contrast like no other - people living in "houses" that almost look like they're made out of cardboard. I don't know.

The British love taking credit for things like this. The mythical King Arthur is a great example of this. No, the Roman Empire was mostly brought down by the "uncivilized" Visigoths who had colonized much of Western Europe, only for themselves to be largely brought down a few centuries later by the soldiers of the new religion (though they were unsuccessful at driving them out of Rome).
There was defiance in the British Illes that at times made things difficult for the Roman occupiers - defiances led by warriors and political figures of sorts who were possibly the influencers of the Matter of Britain. But in the grand scheme of things, the fat statesmen of Imperium Romanum considered them as worrisome as a cloud day.

A few days ago at a hotel during breakfast, I found myself talking to a Morman from South West England touring my country. At first glance he seemed like the stereotypical Brit: his name was Clive, was drinking tea with milk, and partaking in sausage and baked beans with flawless eating utensil etiquette.
His group was debating evolution with a group that was seated adjacent to them. He said something to the effect of "if we're descended from apes, why do they still exist?".
In a moment of rare rudeness, I decided I needed to be a part of this discussion in some capacity, saying "because not all apes evolved under the same conditions. The apes we evolved from were in the Great Rift Valley, and in this dry, barren, dangerous mountain-locked region they were forced to survive in, the conditions were such that the ones best at problem-solving were the ones that lived long enough to multiply. They were the ones that were successful at hunting, cultivating, seeking drinkable water, and self-defense. Over the course of several million years, their problem-solving abilities got more and more sophisticated, eventually evolving into humans. Am I figuring it wrong here?

I started taking the drug in 2007 to stop my panic attacks and the occasional suicidal thoughts. It worked. Despite those two things, I feel I was more productive before the pill taking. I don't know.
